Granny is our angel in Heaven!!!

Family and Friends,
With sad hearts, we want to inform you that Adam's mom, Janet Brown joined her Heavenly Father on Monday morning. After fighting a tough battle with Leukemia, the Lord called Janet to join His choir of angels. She is rejoicing in Heaven and cradling her grandson, Ethan.

There will be a memorial service at 11am on Saturday, December 15th, 2007 at The Church of the Annuniciation at 602 N. Old Orchard Ln in Lewisville, Texas 75067. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville is handling arrangements. You can go to www.mulkeymason.com to send your condolences to the family. In leui of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to any of the following organizations:

Dwarf Athletic Association of America 418 Willow Way Highland Village, TX 75077
Leukemia Society
American Cancer Society
The Church of Annunciation (Parrish Hall fund)

Thank you for all your prayers and support for Janet as she battled this evil disease! We are comforted in knowing that she has no more pain or hard battle to endure but only to rejoice with the Lord.

love,
Adam and Julie

A Blessed Thanksgiving!

We had good Thanksgiving day. After I, (Julie) spent most of the morning in the kitchen cooking, Adam worked during the morning and Austin took a nap, we went to Owen and Andrea's (Adam's brother) to partake in a feast. We then stopped by the Wilson's, good friends of ours, to eat yet another piece of pumpkin pie. We enjoyed a good day with family and friends.

This year we have a lot to be thankful for...
A healthy and loving son and the adoption finalizing....

Walking For Ninny!

Two weeks ago, we particpated in "Light The Night" with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We went with Papa Brown, Uncle Michael, Aunt Lucy and the kids and alot of people from Papa and Ninny's church. We met at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco and walked with thousands of others to benefit the society and raise money. Our group raised over $3,000. We walked for Ninny! She received her stem cell transplant alittle over a week ago and is slowly recovering. She has been sick to her stomach and very weak. We are praying that she recovers soon and is able to come home from the hospital before Christmas. We haven't been able to visit her for awhile since young children or anyone that is sick is not allowed.

Here are some pictures of Austin, his cousins, and Papa:

Blinking stars...but not sure why we are not happy.

Enjoying Fall Weather

Austin has been enjoying the cooler weather. It has been in the 70s and 80s. So we have worn out his trike and also taken the wagon or stroller to the park down the street.
Ready, cool shades and all, for a walk to the park.

Having a snack after playing at the park.

The next Van Gogh with sidewalk chalk.

Halloween

For Halloween, Austin wanted to be Spiderman. At Daycare, he had a party with his friends and dressed as Spiderman all day. Later that afternoon, we saw Papa Brown, some neighbors and friends. After that Austin was all Halloweened out. He had a long day and was crabby and tired. He wouldn't even let us take a good picture of him in his costume. Thankfully, he took some at Daycare. I hope to be able to try to get him to put on his costume again soon to take some pics. Maybe next year, we will do more Trick or Treating in the neighborhood and he will be through the Terrible 2s! Ugh!

Scary teeth and eyes. Yikes!

New Blogger

We are new to Blogger but have used other forms of "networking" and communicating with family and friends. Most of those other websites eventually were over taken by scam email and messages. We hope to be able to use blogspot to keep friends and family updated with pictures and happenings in our family.
